
Our Story
2020: Daughter Miki introduced us to bread made with fresh ground flour; we loved the product, but we disliked the process.

2023: Introduced to health benefits through Sue Becker's videos.
​
2024: Had a light bulb moment to use a breadmaker to do all the tedious work. Got a refurbished grinder (thanks to Miki) and started with porridge, bread, pancakes, muffins and banana loaves.
​
We developed a passion for letting others know the benefits of fresh ground flour and started selling Wheat Berries, grinders, breadmakers and cookbooks.

2025: Started Life Bread Ltd!
About Life Bread Wheat
Our farm is a regenerative operation, treating the soil as a living organism. To maintain the health of the soil, we choose not to apply chemical fertilizers, chemical seed treatments, fungicides or glyphospate (Roundup) pre-harvest. We do minimal tillage at seeding time. We take the exhaust from the tractor along with biologicals (from natural sources) and incorporate them into the soil.

These practices encourage quick germination and entice the plants to pull nitrogen from the air. We go over the crop with biologicals up to 2 more times during the growing season.
